During the final stage of cellular respiration, 36 molecules of ATP are produced as proteins embedded in the membrane move hydro

gen ions across the cell membrane and back again. As hydrogen ions diffuse back into the matrix a phosphate group is added to ADP making it ATP. What is this final stage of cellular respiration called where the most ATP molecules are made? best award to best answer

The Electron transport chain is the last step of cellular respiration. In this stage, energy from NADH and FADH2, which result from the Krebs cycle, is transferred to ATP . Remember glycolysis has already produced 2 ATP and Krebs cycle another two ATP molecules. High energy electrons are released then from NADH and FADH2 and they move along electron transport chains and as this happens, some of their energy is captured . This energy is transferred to form as many as 34 more molecules of ATP. All told, 36 to 38 ATP molecules are produced from just one molecule of glucose in the process of aerobic respiration.

which of the following statements regarding enzymes is true? (3 points) enzymes increase the rate of a reaction by making the re
ziro4ka [17]

Which is true about enzymes is: enzymes increase the rate of reactions by lowering the activation energy barrier.

Enzymes are chemical compounds in the form of proteins that act as biocatalysts which function to speed up reactions.

Enzymes work specifically, that is, they can only work on certain substrates by adjusting the shape of the substrate. Enzymes sensor with molecules for substrates to produce compounds through organic chemical reactions that require energy. Some of the reactions assisted by enzymes such as the breaking of large molecules into small ones or the binding of molecules into new molecules. Enzymes can do that because of the influence of the activation energy that every chemical reaction has.

Activation energy is the energy required to break down the reactants. The role of enzymes is to lower the activation energy limit needed to start reactions.

The change in the dominant, meaning more common, fur color from tan to brown is most likely due to ____.
Serggg [28]

Answer:

d

Explanation:

body size has nothing to do with color. increased number of hunters doesn't work because environment isn't mentioned (i.e. if it was a snow environment it wouldn't make sense). random mutations have to have environmental cause to prevail. so it is d.

What is aphasia, and how did aphasia guide Broca’s work on brain localization?
ivann1987 [24]

Answer:

See the answer below

Explanation:

Aphasia corresponds to a disorder that prevents speech, language comprehension, writing. It can occur after suffering a stroke, brain tumor, neurodegenerative diseases.

A type of aphasia: Broca's aphasia presents as a lesion with a condition in the frontal lobe of the brain. Broca's area is characterized by functions related to language. Paul BROCA, conducted various post-mortem studies in the nineteenth century in patients with aphasia and related their behaviors to understand their behavior

Describe the process of transcription involve RNA polymerase.
valina [46]
Transcription is the process in which a gene's DNA sequence is copied (transcribed) to make an RNA molecule. RNA polymerase is the main transcription enzyme. Transcription begins when RNA polymerase binds to a promoter sequence near the beginning of a gene (directly or through helper proteins).

According to caplan what community implication might follow from trafficking organs?
vovangra [49]

According to Caplan, the community implication that might follow from trafficking organs might alienate segments of the community who support altruism.

What community implications might follow from trafficking organs?

  • Because of its sophisticated and sometimes covert nature, organ trafficking is a profitable global illicit enterprise that is often overlooked by anti-human trafficking players.
  • Trafficking in sex and/or work is the most widely thought of the kind of human trafficking among public policy leaders and general awareness efforts.
  • However, because of strong demand and low levels of law enforcement, organ trafficking is a crucial issue for transnational organized crime groups.
  • This type of unlawful activity also exposes the business sector, particularly the banking sector, to being an uninformed conduit for its facilitation.
  • Caplan believes that the community implications of organ trafficking may alienate members of the community who embrace altruism.
