Explanation:

The metamorphic rocks are the rocks that are formed due to the increasing temperature and pressure condition. These are also known as the secondary rocks as they are directly obtained from either igneous or sedimentary or other metamorphic rocks. Here, heat and pressure are the two key factors. For example, Quartzite, Marble, Schist and Gneiss.

These metamorphic rocks are affected due to the various factors, such as heat from the sun, internal temperature, pressure, rainfall, as a result of which the rocks are weathered and the broken particles are formed. These particles are then carried from one place to another with the help of agents such as wind, water and ice. This process is known as erosion.

Thus, these two processes namely weathering and erosion are responsible for the transformation of metamorphic rock into sediments.
