The answer is 0.024.

Let's round decimal by decimal until we get two significant figures.
When the successor number is smaller than 5 then the predecessor number remains the same.
When the successor number is greater than 5 then the predecessor number rounds to the first greater number.
If the successor number is 5 then the even predecessor number remains the same and the odd predecessor number rounds to the first greater number.
0.002353 ≈ 0.00235
0.00235 ≈ 0.0024

Now, we have two significant figures: 2 and 4

Use two points from the graph to check if they are constant. In this case let’s use (0,50) & (2,58)

To find slope you have to do the following.

y2-y1 / x2-x1

Plug in the values, 58-50/2-0
This gives you 4.

When you use two other points, in this case (10,90) (20,130) you get a slope of 4.

This means the slope is 4.

We are trying to get an equation of y=mx+b.
We have slope already which is 4. So now we plug in y=4x + b

Now we need to find b. There is an equation to solve for b. Which is b=y1-m(x1)

But b is the y-intercept so there is already a B which is 50

So the table IS a linear equation and the equation is y=4x+50.

David says he has 2/3 of a pipe length left, while Don says he has 11/16 of a length left. Which person has the longest section
Kruka [31]

Answer:

Don

Step-by-step explanation:

1. We make the fractions have common denominators so it is easier to compare them. We can do this buy multiplying 2/3 by a factor of 16, so it becomes 32/48. For 11/16, we multiply by a factor of 3 so it becomes 33/48. It is now apparent that Don has the longer pipe.

How are fractions and decimals related
Airida [17]
A fraction is a short way to write a division problem. When you see a fraction, it means "the top number divided by the bottom number". When you actually DO the division, the answer is the decimal that's equal to the fraction.
