Answer:  The correct option is

(D) Figure Y is circumscribed about figure X.

Step-by-step explanation:  Given that a figure X is inscribed in figure Y.

We are to select the statement that must be TRUE.

We know that

if a figure X is inscribed in a figure Y, then the figure X must be smaller than figure Y.

So, the figures X and Y will not be congruent to each other and thus option (A) is incorrect.

Since a circle can be inscribed in another circle and a circle is not a polygon. So, option (B) is incorrect.

If a figure lies lies inside another figure, then the outer figure is said to be circumscribed about the inner figure.

So, figure Y is circumscribed about figure X.

Therefore, option (C) is incorrect and option (D) is CORRECT.

Thus, (D) is the correct option.

Jade buys 38 mint boxes. He shares them equally with friends, and they all get 19 boxes. How many friends is Jade sharing with i
Misha Larkins [42]
Lets look at the information we have:-

38 mint boxes together
19 per person including Jade.

To answer this lets divide 38 by 19 and d answer will be d amount of friends he has including himself.

38 ÷ 19 = 2
2 friends including Jade.

CHECK OUR WORK:-

19 + 19 = 38
We were RIGHT!!!

So, Jade shared his mints with 1 of his friends, and including himself they were 2 people who got 19 mint boxes each.

Hope I helped ya!!

Complete the recursive formula of the geometric sequence − 0.6   ,   3   , − 15   ,   75 , . . .
HACTEHA [7]
<h3>a_n = -0.6 \times (-5)^{n - 1} is the recursive formula of the geometric sequence</h3>

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

<em><u>Given geometric sequence is:</u></em>

-0.6, 3 , -15, 75

We have to frame the recursive formula

Find the common ratio

r = \frac{3}{-0.6} = -5\\\\r = \frac{-15}{3} = -5\\\\r = \frac{75}{-15} = -5

Thus common ratio is -5

<em><u>The nth term of geometric sequence is given as:</u></em>

a_n = a \times r^{n-1}

Where,

n is the nth term

a is the first term of sequence

r is common ratio

From sequence,

a = -0.6

r = -5

Therefore,

a_n = -0.6 \times (-5)^{n - 1}

Where, n = 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , .....

Thus the recursive formula is found
