The carbon monoxide mainly affects the binding of oxygen to the hemoglobin and cause severe diseases. The major symptoms that develop due to carbon monoxide poisoning are chest pain, weakness, dizziness and headache. In the US, carbon monoxide poisoning is a leading cause of death.
