Answer:

100 square inches

Step-by-step explanation:

Area = Base x height

Given

Base = 10 inches and

Height = 10 inches

Area = 10 inches x 10 inches

= 100 square inches

The functions f(x) and g(x) are shown below f(x) = 5x g(x) = 5x Which statement best describes the graph of f(x) and g(x)?
Tasya [4]
The functions supplied appear to be the same? Regardless:

We have the equation y = 5x.
Therefore the gradient of this graph will be 5, so for every 1 increase in the y axis, there will be 5 in the x.

It will appear as a straight line passing through the origin and the point (1, 5).

A right angle intersects a line at point M. Which statement is true about angles 1 and 2? They are congruent. They are right ang
yulyashka [42]
The angle show with the yellow square has a measure of 90°.

Together with angles 1 and 2, they form a straight angle so we have:

∠1+∠2+90°=180°,

subtracting 90° from both sides we have:

∠1+∠2=90°

If the sum of the measures of 2 angles is 90°, the angles are called complementary.

Since the sum of the measures of angles 1 and 2 is 90°, then these 2 angles are complementary.

Answer: <span>They are complementary</span>

BRAINLIEST!!
morpeh [17]

well I know for a fact that the equation for a parabola is

ax^{2}  + bx + c

so obviously it is an equation for an ellipse, sadly I am not exactly sure whether the answer is b or c.(I'm leaning towards b)

hopefully I helped out by eliminating 2 options.

Brainliest people comment what the answer is!!!!

Have a great day

What is the solution set to the following system?<br> {x+y=3<br> {x^2+y^2=9
sashaice [31]

There are two solutions

The first solution is (x,y) = (3,0)

The second solution is (x,y) = (0,3)

===============================================

Work Shown:

Isolate x in the first equation (subtract y from both sides)

x+y = 3

x = -y+3

Now plug this into the second equation. Isolate y.

x^2 + y^2 = 9

(-y+3)^2 + y^2 = 9 ... replace x with -y+3

y^2 - 6y + 9 + y^2 = 9 ... FOIL rule

2y^2 - 6y + 9 = 9

2y^2 - 6y = 0

2y(y-3) = 0

2y = 0 or y-3 = 0 .... zero product property

y = 0 or y = 3

--------------

If y = 0, then x is

x = -y+3

x = -0+3

x = 3

Therefore, x = 3 and y = 0 pair up to get the ordered pair (x,y) = (3,0) as one solution of this system

--------------

If y = 3, then x is

x = -y+3

x = -3+3

x = 0

Therefore, x = 0 and y = 3 pair up to get the ordered pair (x,y) = (0,3) as the other solution of this system

--------------

If you were to graph the two equations, you should find that the curves cross each other at (0,3) and (3,0). I've marked these two points as A and B respectively. The order of the solutions does not matter.
