Answer:

<h3>Yes, Passive transport can occur in dead cells.</h3>

Explanation:

For passive transport to occur, a concentration gradient has to be formed across a permeable or semi-permeable membrane. If the cell membrane of the dead cell, which is a semipermeable membrane, is intact and a concentration gradient has formed on both sides, passive transport can occur.

A concentration gradient is the difference in the concentration of solute molecules  across the membrane. Passive transport will allow solute molecules to travel from the higher concentration of the solute to the lower concentration across a membrane till equilibrium is reached, that is, both the sides of the membrane has equal concentration of the solute.

The transport of the solvent can occur as well, from higher concentration to lower concentration.

Answer:

The correct answer will be- relationship between facial movements, facial expressions and emotions.

Explanation:

The Facial Action Coding System (FACS) is a comprehensive system used to study the facial expressions and relating them to the emotions.

This coding system was developed by a psychologist named Paul Ekman which is used by the detective agencies to detect lies and the animation industries all over the world.

The system is based on the anatomical facial movement which is broken down into the smaller components called Action Units based on the muscles movements.

Thus, the relationship between facial movements, facial expressions and emotions is the correct answer.

Which statement best describes the role of gene expression in cells?
maw [93]
The answer is <span>To become specialized, cells need to control the production of proteins coded for in their DNA.

All genetic information in a cell's DNA is not fully expressed at all times. On the contrary, in different cell lines, different DNA segments are expressed at different times. Some genes are active in unspecialized cells and later deactivate, some are activated only in specialized cells, for example. These are facultative genes which are active when needed, unlike constitutive genes which are expressed continually. Therefore, <u>t</u></span><span><u>o become specialized, cells need to control the production of proteins coded for in their DNA. </u>DNA segments, however, remain in cell and are not destroyed. Also, during the mitosis, all genes are passed, not only required genes.</span>

Explanation:

The sympathetic nervous system is in charged of controlling the body's fight-or-flight reactions. When facing a threat, these responses defaultly prepare our body to flee from danger or face the threat head-on.

Many of the physiological responses you experience during times of emotional streaming, such as sweaty palms or a racing heartbeat, are regulated by the sympathetic nervous system, a branching of the autonomic nervous system.
