I may be wrong, but I believe they are related, because y=log(2x)+3 has a variable x, and so does y=log(x). I hope this helps!

The graph y = log (2x) + 3 is the translation of the graph y = log (x) as much as (3 + log (2)) ≈ 3.3 units up

<h3>Further explanation</h3>

Function is a relation which each member of the domain is mapped onto exactly one member of the codomain.

There are many types of functions in mathematics such as:

  • Linear Function → f(x) = ax + b
  • Quadratic Function → f(x) = ax² + bx + c
  • Trigonometric Function → f(x) = sin x or f(x) = cos x or f(x) = tan x
  • Logarithmic function → f(x) = ln x
  • Polynomial function → f(x) = axⁿ + bxⁿ⁻¹ + ...

If function f : x → y , then inverse function f⁻¹ : y → x

Let us tackle the problem.

The given functions can be modified as follows:

y = \log ( 2x ) + 3

y = \log 2 + \log x + 3

y = \log x + (3 + \log 2)

From the function above it can be concluded that the graph y = log (2x) + 3 is the translation of the graph y = log (x) as much as (3 + log (2)) ≈ 3.3 units up

To be clearer, it can be seen in the attached image.

Is it y=x ??<br> Pls help
DerKrebs [107]

It's the first one. y can equal x as long as y doesn't equal x multiple times. We also know the last two are wrong because they're saying the same thing. A linear function is a straight line.

Arisa [49]

Answer:

71

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of fig 1 = 1 x b = 7 x 4 = 28

Area of fig 2 = l x b = (7-2) x 3 = 5 x 3 = 15

Area of fig 1 = 1 x b = 7 x 4 = 28 (same as ig 1)

Area of whole fig = fig 1 + fig 2 + fig 3 = 28+15+28 = 71

I hope im right !!
