Claudette Colvin is a former nurse aide of America. She was the person behind the civil rights movement. If so happened that while she was on her way to Booker Washington High school, traveling from bus when a white lady came and asked her for her seat. Colvin refused to offer the white passenger her seat. That’s the time when the boycott struggle took place. Despite being jailed, despite several difficulties she stood for her right and didn’t give up. She stood by the fact that ‘Black is beautiful.’
