Medieval technologies include inventions such as the mobile press, military technologies with the creation of weapons or the technologies of the great navigations that allowed the maritime expansion. The technological inventions of the Industrial Revolution (18th century) brought about profound transformations in the production process.

From the 20th century onwards, information and communication technologies stand out through the evolution of telecommunications, the use of computers, the development of the internet and also advanced technologies, which include the use of Nuclear Energy, Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, etc. Today, high technology, that is, the most advanced technology is known as cutting edge technology.
