1.when you change the first equation to the form it is the same as the second which means infinite solutions

y-3x=5 --->y=3x+5 then set them equal to find many possible solutions

2.this is no solution because the slopes are the same when you combine these equation the 2's cancel out and you ar left with y=12x which cannot be solved

3.when everything is different there is one solution

If F(x) and G(x) are two functions such that F(G(x)) = x then F(x) and G(x) are ..?
lana [24]
They are inverse functions though to be completely thorough your teacher should have also put g(f(x)) = x as well. Though I can see what your teacher is aiming for at least.

The idea is that whatever the output of g(x) is, it's plugged into f(x) and the initial input is the result. So g(x) takes a step forward and f(x) takes a step back undoing everything g(x) did. Which is exactly what an inverse operation does.

The table below shows the number of shoppers at Jacob's store over a period of five months:
Olin [163]

We are given table

Month :         1     2        3         4         5

Shoppers:   50  250   1250   6250  3250

so, we have

first term =50

a_1=50

Second term =250

a_2=250

Third term =1250

a_3=1250

a_4=6250

a_5=31250

now, we can find ratios

\frac{a_2}{a_1} =\frac{a_3}{a_2}=\frac{a_4}{a_3}=\frac{a_5}{a_4}=5

we can see that all ratios are same and 5

so, this is exponential

so, option-D..........Answer
