I believe it's only white, land owning males.
The Articles of confederation was weak. To summarize, it essentially gave states much more power than the federal government; only states could raise taxes and there were no president during this. It was until shays rebellion that the founding fathers realized they needed a new constitution.
Strengths- won revolutionary war, banned slavery in northwest territory and created northwest ordinance of 1787
Weaknesses- bad economy and weak federal gov

I feel like this could be true for many countries, but I think that the question is best answered with "Egypt" and the longtime leader is Hosni Mubarak (leader between 1981-2011).
But perhaps even better answer is Syria - the leader is Bashar al-Assad, in power since 2000, and before that his father, Hafez al-Assad was the leader for 30 years.
