So triangles bcd and aec are similar. so this makes lines ac and bc similar and lines db and ae similar.

to solve this problem, we just need to do some algebra
\frac{ae}{ac} = \frac{bd}{bc}
now we substitute those values in
\frac{7x + 2}{9 + 3} = \frac{4}{3}
which results in
\frac{7x + 2}{12} = \frac{4}{3}
then multiply both sides by 12
7x + 2 = 16
soon you should get x=2 with the length of ae being 16

What is the Volume?
Serhud [2]

Answer:

703.36

Step-by-step explanation:

the formula is v=b×h×pi

pi = 3.14

miss Akunina [59]

Answer:

Sample size minimum is 60

Step-by-step explanation:

given that you want to create a 99% confidence interval with a margin of error of .5.

The population  standard deviation is equal to 1.5

i.e. \sigma = 0.5

Confidence level = 99%

Since population std deviation is known, we can use Z critical value for finding margin of error

Z critical value for 99% = 2.58

Margin of error = 2.58*\frac{1.5}{\sqrt{n} }

Equate this to 0.5 and solve for n

2.58*\frac{1.5}{\sqrt{n} }=0.5\\\sqrt{n} =7.74\\n =59.90\\n=60
