Answer:

The correct answer is B) the notion that communism could spread to neighboring states through close contact

Explanation:

The United States genurily beleived that the popularity of Communism in one country, will quickly spread to another country thanks to the support of the Soviety Union.

Also described as the Domineo effect, that is one country fell to communsim, gradually others will follow.

At that time, a communist political system automatically meant that the country was under the influence of Soviet Union.

To counter this influence, the United States funded and backed many governments, toppled democractic regimes and was involved in many illegal wars throughout the world.

It is generally believed that the United States came out the strongest and won the cold war.

What happened to the Tokugawa Shogunate as a result of Japanese isolationism? What came after?
iogann1982 [59]

Answer: an’s Tokugawa (or Edo) period, which lasted from 1603 to 1867, would be the final era of traditional Japanese government, culture and society before the Meiji Restoration of 1868 toppled the long-reigning Tokugawa shoguns and propelled the country into the modern era. Tokugawa Ieyasu’s dynasty of shoguns presided over 250 years of peace and prosperity in Japan, including the rise of a new merchant class and increasing urbanization. To guard against external influence, they also worked to close off Japanese society from Westernizing influences, particularly Christianity. But with the Tokugawa shogunate growing increasingly weak by the mid-19th century, two powerful clans joined forces in early 1868 to seize power as part of an “imperial restoration” named for Emperor Meiji. The Meiji Restoration spelled the beginning of the end for feudalism in Japan, and would lead to the emergence of modern Japanese culture, politics and society.

Answer:

1.

there is a point on which most economists agree, it is that trade among nations makes the world better off. Yet international trade can be one of the most contentious of political issues, both domestically and between governments.

When a firm or an individual buys a good or a service produced more cheaply abroad, living standards in both countries increase. There are other reasons consumers and firms buy abroad that also make them better off—the product may better fit their needs than similar domestic offerings or it may not be available domestically. In any case, the foreign producer also benefits by making more sales than it could selling solely in its own market and by earning foreign exchange (currency) that can be used by itself or others in the country to purchase foreign-made products.

2.

America cannot have a growing economy or lift the wages and incomes of our citizens unless we continue to reach beyond our borders and sell products, produce, and services to the 95% of the world’s population that lives outside the United States.
