A student conducted an experiment that used two rose plants to determine if a liquid formula for fertilizer was better than a dr

formula. He tested each fertilizer on a single plant for one month, and he concluded that the liquid formula was better. When
he described his conclusion to his teacher, she told him he needed to conduct additional trials. The teacher most likely asked
for additional trials because
she did not believe the new formula helped plants grow better than the old formula.
it was necessary to see data from more plants before the conclusion could be accepted.
it was necessary to have tested the fertilizer on different kinds of plants.
she thought he should test additional fertilizer formulas on the same two plants.

The teacher most likely asked for additional trials because it was necessary to see data from more plants before the conclusion could be accepted.

Explanation:

 • Any experiment should have multiple trials given so that accuracy of the result could be obtained.
 • Repeating same experiments tests the consistency of a particular result and makes sure that the results will not be effected by random events occurring within the system or surrounding.
 • Thus the conclusion becomes more precise and accurate.

Why do scientists believe Neanderthals had some interbreeding with AMHs?
Gelneren [198K]

Explanation:

However, in 2016 researchers published a new set of Neanderthal DNA sequences from Altai Cave in Siberia, as well as from Spain and Croatia, that show evidence of human-Neanderthal interbreeding as far back as 100,000 years ago farther back than many previous estimates of humans' migration out of Africa (Kuhlwilm Dec 11, 2020

What benefits do plants with a smooth stem have? Does the stem type protect a plant?
gogolik [260]

Benefits of smooth stem over rough stem:

Smooth stem plants like guava, eucalyptus etc do have a smooth layer of bark over its stem that comes out as a skin when they shed their barks. Whereas most of the other plants like mango, banyan etc do have a rough corrugated layer of bark over their stem.

The smooth stem doesn’t let water to accumulate in the bark which can led to infections to the tree. It also doesn’t allow any seed to settle on bark that can led to growth of parasites. Thereby this smooth bark saves the trees from some of the probable harm to the tree.

The light-independent reactions of photosynthesis, also known as the Calvin cycle, use and produce a variety of molecules. Sort
Margaret [11]

Molecules brought in and used in the calvin cycle - Carbon dioxide (CO_2) , Ribulose bisphosphate (RuBP)

Molecules produced during the calvin cycle that leave the cycle - a few of the glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate (G3P), NADP+

Molecules used and regenerated within the calvin cycle - most of the Glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate (G3P) , NADPH

Explanation:

Calvin cycle is the light independent reaction that takes place in the stroma of the chloroplast. Calvin cycle uses ATP and NADPH produced during the light reaction. Calvin cycle occurs in 3 steps, they are:

1. Carbon fixation - (CO_2) combines with Ribulose bisphosphate (RuBP) to form 2 molecules of 3-phosphoglyceric acid (3-PGA).

2. Reduction - ATP and NADPH is used to convert 3-PGA into glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate (G3P).

3. Regeneration - some G3P molecule form glucose while other regenerates to form RuBP acceptor.
