4:15 to 5:15 1 hour
5:15 to 6:15 2 hours
6:15 to 6:25 2 hours 10 minutes
6:25 to 6:35 2 hours 20 minutes
The casserole is done at 6:35. Since it is 6:09 when Halil arrives home,
6:09 to 6:35 is 26 minutes.

Answer: Halil has to wait 26 mintues

Why is it helpful to rewrite inequalities
mr_godi [17]

Answer:

that puts the solution in the form ...

     variable is ...

Step-by-step explanation:

It isn't always.

__

Often, we like to have a solution be in the form ...

  variable is ...

So, for an inequality, that puts the variable on the left:

  x > 3

  y < 27

__

Personally, I like to see the answer in a form that has the variable and its values in the same relation as on a number line. This means, my preferred inequality symbols are < or ≤, since those have the smaller numbers on the left. I would write the first example above as ...

  3 < x

showing that the shaded portion of the number line (representing possible values of the variable) is to the right of the open circle at 3. For me, it is more mental effort to translate x > 3 to the same image.

__

The forms we choose to use are all about making communication as easy as possible.

At homecoming, 125 tickets where sold. Tickets purchased for homecoming cost $20.5 without an activity card, and $15.75 with an
ale4655 [162]

Answer:

Nearly 83 students did not had activity card.

Nearly 42 students had an activity card.

Step-by-step explanation:

Total number of tickets sold at homecoming = 125

Cost of each  ticket without activity card = $20.5

Cost of each  ticket with activity card = $15.75

Total amount earned  = $2365

Let, the number of tickets sold without activity car d  = k

So, the number of tickets sold without card = (Total sold - k)

                                                                          = 125 - k

Now, according to the question:

$20.5(k) + $15.75(125 - k)  =  $2365

or, 20.5 k + 1968.5 - 15.75 k = 2365

⇒ 4.75 k = 2365 - 1968.5 = 396.5

⇒ k = \frac{396.5}{4.75 } = 83.47

Hence, nearly 83 students did not had activity card.

So,the number of students that had activity card = 125 - 83.47 = 41.53 ~  42

Hence, nearly 42 students had an activity card.

URGENT HELP ME PLEASE
Trava [24]

Answer:

(a)\log_3(\dfrac{81}{3})=3

(b)\log_5(\dfrac{625}{25})=2

(c)\log_2(\dfrac{64}{8})=3

(d)\log_4(\dfrac{64}{16})=1

(e)\log_6(36^4)=8

(f)\log(100^3)=6

Step-by-step explanation:

Let as consider the given equations are \log_3(\dfrac{81}{3})=?,\log_5(\dfrac{625}{25})=?,\log_2(\dfrac{64}{8})=?,\log_4(\dfrac{64}{16})=?,\log_6(36^4)=?,\log(100^3)=?.

(a)

\log_3(\dfrac{81}{3})=\log_3(27)

\log_3(\dfrac{81}{3})=\log_3(3^3)

\log_3(\dfrac{81}{3})=3        [\because \log_aa^x=x]

(b)

\log_5(\dfrac{625}{25})=\log_5(25)

\log_5(\dfrac{625}{25})=\log_5(5^2)

\log_5(\dfrac{625}{25})=2        [\because \log_aa^x=x]

(c)

\log_2(\dfrac{64}{8})=\log_2(8)

\log_2(\dfrac{64}{8})=\log_2(2^3)

\log_2(\dfrac{64}{8})=3        [\because \log_aa^x=x]

(d)

\log_4(\dfrac{64}{16})=\log_4(4)

\log_4(\dfrac{64}{16})=1        [\because \log_aa^x=x]

(e)

\log_6(36^4)=\log_6((6^2)^4)

\log_6(36^4)=\log_6(6^8)

\log_6(36^4)=8            [\because \log_aa^x=x]

(f)

\log(100^3)=\log((10^2)^3)

\log(100^3)=\log(10^6)

\log(100^3)=6            [\because \log10^x=x]

What is the value of x?
anzhelika [568]
We know that 5x-3x =2x

So x(5x-3x)=x×2x

=(2x)^2

=4x^2

Which is given as 18.

X^2=18÷4

=4.5

So x=root over 4.5

Which is approximately 2.25
