Answer : $18.75

Bethany is paid time-and-a-half for each hour she works above her normal 40 hours each week. Last week, Bethany worked 44 hours and her gross pay was $575.

Total hours worked = 44 hours

Normal 40 hours + 4 hours extra

Let x be the amount earned for 1 hour for regular 40 hours

1.5x be the amount earned for extra hours

40 (amount earned for normal hours ) + 4(amount for extra hours ) = gross pay

40x + 4(1.5x) = 575

40x + 6x = 575

46 x = 575

Now divide both sides by 46

x = 12.5

1.5x is the amount earned for extra hours

1.5 * 12.5 = 18.75

Bethany earn for each hour of overtime she worked is $18.75

Quickly solve (x+7)2=121, for x. Graph the solution on a number line.
asambeis [7]

Answer:

The value of the x is 53.5 or x=53.5

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data in the question:-

(x+7)2=121

We have to find the value of x.

Solution:-

(x+7)2=121\\=>2x+14=121\\=>2x=121-14\\=>2x=107\\=>x=107/2\\=>x=53.5\\

Hence the answer is 53.5

The population of California is approximately 38,040,000. The population of Texas is approximately 26.06 x 10^6 . The population
Salsk061 [2.6K]

Answer:

this is it

Step-by-step explanation:

The population of California is approximately 38,040,000. The population of Texas is approximately 26.06 x 106 . The population of New York State is approximately 1.96 x 107

38,040,000 = 3.804 x 107

26.06 x 106 = 2.606 x 107

Which state has the highest approximate population? Show work and/or Explain.

    NY: 1.96 x 107 = 19,600,000

    TX: 2.606 x 107 = 26,060,000

 CA: 3.804 x 107 = 38,040,000

California has the highest approximate population.

Find the sum of the approximate population of California and New York State.

     (3.804 x 107) + (1.96 x 107) = (3.804 +1.96) x 107 = 5.764 x 107

Find the difference in the approximate population of Texas and New York State.

    (2.606 x 107) - (1.96 x 107) = 0.646 x 107 = 6.46 x 106
