Ugo [173]

I sure don't have time to write an essay! But the first one sounds alright.

One of the early Chinese civilizations was located between the two main rivers, (google them for more details) Anyways, unlike most of China, the plain between the two rivers is fertile, allowing the people to grow rice and other foods. Along with that, I am certain that they had mountains and deserts to the west. If they could be used against natural disasters (I doubt they'd come in west) it'd be helpful! Good day

Where did the colonists get the idea that only male land owners should vote?
DochEvi [55]
The colonists and early Americans got the idea that only male land owners should vote from England. Voting in England during pre-1832 was dependent on three criteria – sex, age and property. Only men over the age of 21 were allowed to vote – and only if they owned property over a certain value. The Great Reform Act in 1832 broadened the spectrum of voters to include the likes of landowners and shopkeepers as part of the property criteria. The constituency boundaries were rearranged to make representation less unfair and householders paying more than £10 in annual rent were also given the vote

Explanation:

Over the course of the 20th century, in Ireland, there was gradually declining of dependence on Britain. In 1937, the state was transformed into a republic, and in 1949, Ireland withdrew from the union with Great Britain. Opposite processes were observed in the north, until in 1972 the Northern Irish Parliament was dissolved. The fullness of power in the region passed into the hands of the British authorities; in fact, Northern Ireland was controlled directly from London. In the 20th century, in Northern Ireland, there was an increase in self-awareness of not only of Irish and British, but also of Catholics and Protestants, which shifted the conflict from a purely ethno-political to an ethno-confessional one, and worsened the identity situation on the island. In this regard, the corresponding right-wing parties and organizations gained great popularity among the local population.
