Answer:

My longterm academic professional goals are in the first place to be a researcher in an applied sciences institute and a professor at an institution with programs to motivate students into research. The participation in the SULI program will help me in three ways: first, create bonds with researchers and aspiring researchers, second to experience research at a lab and third, to evaluate my condition find my strengths and opportunity areas to become a researcher.

Explanation:

first of all, as a person who really wants to pursue a career in academics and research, I find a highly valuable opportunity to experience an internship in a research environment. It will provide me an experience to see what research in an institution is and how it can help students to achieve a career in research. Then it will also provide the perfect scenario to find out what is my actual condition, my strengths, and my opportunity areas to work on them and grow as a potential researcher. But mostly it will help me acquire relationships with researchers fellow students interested in the field. Relationships that could create bonds and provide me advice, orientations, and suggestions from experts and people who are also a student that can help me grow. Research is a career of constant growth and I as an enthusiast am committed to keep growing to help science, professionals, and society.

Explanation:

If you want a major/career that is focused on science, technology, engineering and mathematics then the SULI program is the best fit for you. Your long term academic and professional goals should follow a same pattern if you want to accomplish them. The SULI program is the “Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship” program which will help you participate on internships which will help you in the professional sphere. Your academic goals should be taking classes that will help you prepare yourself and participate in any activity that involves the career you want to pursue.
