As the exercise briefly explains, the political and economic theory of social organization which says that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned and controlled by the community as a whole is called Socialism. This system, roughly, proposes that the ownership of the means of productions be under the control of the self-management of workers and the community as a whole and not by a reduced group of people.
