Answer:

(b). dependency and hedging.

Explanation:

In the management of risk, four common approaches for reducing risk are;

i. Avoidance: Especially if a risk involved in the management of a resource (or project) poses or presents a negative consequence, the best way to manage the risk simply avoid it by making sure it doesn't happen. This can be by cancelling a project or restructuring it.

ii. Adaptation: Another way of managing the risk associated with a resource (human or non-human resource) is to control the risk either by increasing resilience or reducing vulnerability. This is called adaptation.

iii. Dependency: This means accepting the risk since every project or business has inherently in it some risk associated. Dealing with it might be a way out especially knowing that there might be some experience to be gained in order to tackle similar situation in the future.

iv. Hedging: This means transferring the risk to some other business or organization. An example might be to get an insurance to manage this risk. In this case, the risk is transferred to the insurance company.

What happens when you create a variable in a video game program?
gulaghasi [49]

Answer:

A lot can happen, depending on the use of the variable

Explanation:

Lets create a position variable, a common variable in games.

Vector3 position = new Vector3(0, 0, 0);

The above variable initialization creates a new Vector3 object. The Vector3 class contains 3 properties, X, Y, and Z. When you assign the variable 'position' the new Vector3 object, the variable 'position' contains an instance of Vector3 where

X = 0,

Y = 0,

and Z = 0.

The variable 'position' can be used to set the position of a player, or an object.

We can reuse this variable when you want the object or player to move.

position.X = 29

position.Y = -14

position.Z = 47

now the object/player's position is (29, -14, 47).

Variables can be used for basically everything you need in programming, from storing a position, to storing the result of a complex math equation.

CodeHS is an interactive online learning platform offering computer science and programming instruction for schools and individual learners.

CodeHS is focused on spreading access to and knowledge of computer science by offering online instructional materials supported by remote tutors.

Explanation:

Downloading an image from a website on the internet.

  • Right-click the image.
  • Choose the command Save Picture As. The command might be different in browsers other than Internet Explorer.
  • Use the Save Picture dialog box to find a location to save the picture. You can rename the picture as it's saved to your computer's storage system
  • Click the Save button.

Download an image of Karel the dog from the URL

  • Create a folder in your laptop
  • Place your text file of images URL in the folder.
  • cd to that folder.
  • Use wget -i images.txt.
  • You will find all your downloaded files in the folder.

How your computer finds the CodeHS server, requests information from the server, and receives it.

  • When you enter an URL into the address bar of browser, browser will send the domain to a server call DNS to convert the domain into IP address.
  • For example: google dot com will be convert into 113.171.253.224
  • Next, the browser will send your request to that IP.
  • All your sent data will be divided into packages, each package contains your IP address.
  • That is the reason why server know who it will send the response.

How to write a C++ program that allows a user to enter their rating of the three movies in the Dark Knight Trilogy and then disp
8_murik_8 [283]

The program is an illustration of arrays.

Arrays are used to hold multiple values in one variable.

The program in C++ where comments are used to explain each line is as follows:

#include <iostream>

using namespace std;

int main(){

   //This declares an array of three elements for the three ratings

   int ratings[3];

   //This initializes the sum of the ratings to 0

   int total = 0;

   //The following iteration gets input for the three ratings

   for(int i = 0; i<3;i++){

       cin>>ratings[i];

       //This calculates the sum of all inputs

       total+=ratings[i];

   }

   //This declares and initializes the lowest and the highest ratings

   int lowest = ratings[0], highest = ratings[0];

   //This iterates through the array

   for(int i = 1; i<3;i++){

       //The following if condition determines the lowest rating

       if (lowest > ratings[i]){    lowest = ratings[i];        }

       //The following if condition determines the highest rating

       if (highest < ratings[i]){            highest = ratings[i];        }

   }

   //This prints the output header

   cout<<"The ratings are: ";

   //The following iteration prints the three ratings

   for(int i = 0; i<3;i++){

       cout<<ratings[i]<<" ";   }

   //The prints the highest ratings

cout<<endl<<"Highest: "<<highest<<endl;

   //The prints the lowest rating

   cout<<"Lowest: "<<lowest<<endl;

   //The prints the average rating

cout<<"Average: "<<total/3<<endl;

   return 0;

}

At the end of the program, the ratings entered, the highest rating, the lowest rating, and the average of the ratings are printed.
