65 balloons are counted by Chet

Solution:

Given that

Chet counts balloons for a party

Number of bunches of balloons counted by Chet = 13

Also each bunch has 5 balloons.

Need to calculated how much balloons is counted by Chet

Number of balloons in 1 bunch = 5

Number of balloons in 13 bunches = 13 x Number of balloons in 1 bunch = 13 x 5 = 65

As number of bunches of balloons counted by Chet = 13

So number of bunches of balloons counted by Chet = Number of balloons in 13 bunches = 65

Hence 65 balloons are counted by Chet.

Help me I have no idea how to do 18
sleet_krkn [62]

First, subtract px2 from both sides.

Now you have:

x3 - px2 = (1 - p) x1

Next, divide both sides by (1 - p)

So now you have

x3 - px2/(1 - p) = x1

...as your final answer

*You can decide if you want to leave the parenthesis in your final answer, I left them there so it could be visible where I put them. :)

Simplify (x - y + 1) - (x + y - 1)
andrey2020 [161]
First, distribute the minus sign across the second set. So you have:

x - y + 1 - x - y + 1

Now, we combine like terms:
x-x=0
-y-y=-2y
1+1=2

So we have -2y+2

Hope that helps.
