Two electronics technicians are looking at the technical manual for a piece of electronic equipment. The manual refers to a part

icular resistor as a "2.2 megohm resistor." Technician A says that this means that the resistance value of the resistor is 22,000 ohms. Technician B says that this means that the resistor can safely carry a current of 2,200,000 amperes. Which of the following statements is correct?

The answer for the question shown above: Neither of them.
 The explanation is:
1 megaohm=1x10^6 ohm, therefore, 2.2 megaohm=2.2x10^6=2,200,000 ohm. So, the statement of the Technician B is false.
The statement of the Technician A  does not has sense, because the amount of current that passes through the resistor also depends of the voltage. To the resistor can carry a current of that magnitude the voltage must be ridiculously big: 4x10^36 V

Answer: x = 5.625

Step-by-step explanation:  The triangles are similar; the side lengths of the large triangle are proportional to the lengths of the small triangle. The corresponding parts are proportional.

Use proportion. The total length of side FV is 16.

6:16 = x:15 . or 6/16=x/15

cross multiply 15 × 6 = 90, then divide 90/16

90/16 = x

5.625 = x

Amjed has 223 cards in his trading card collection. Latif has
Nata [24]

Answer:

The orders of magnitude are numbers of the form:

10^n

where n can be any integer number.

So we can write something like:

"A is n orders of magnitude above B

Now we have the quantities:

Amjed cards = 223

Latif cards = 8741

We want to find how many times more trading cards does Latif  have than Amjed.

Then we need to look at the quotient between the number of cards of Latif and Amjed.

8741/223 = 39.2

Now we need to approximate this to the nearest 10^n number.

(..., 0.1, 1, 10, 100, 1000, ...)

The nearest one to 39.2 is 10.

So we can say that Latif's collection is 10.

and 10 = 10^1

then n = 1

Then we can say that Latif's collection is one order of magnitude above Amjed's collection.

A rectangle has a length of 7 and a width of w. What is an expression for the perimeter?
Nastasia [14]
(7x2)+(2x w). Times 2 because you need each side and the opposite sides are the same size.
