DNA is double-stranded, while RNA is single-stranded. RNA contains ribose as a sugar, while DNA contains deoxyribose. Also, three of the nitrogenous bases are the same in the two types (adenine, cytosine, and guanine), but DNA contains thymine while RNA contains uracil.

deoxyribose sugar in DNA and ribose sugar in RNA.

DNA contains THYMINE but RNA contains URACIL in place ot that and all other nitrogen bases are same.

If 35.0 g of CH3OH (MM = 32.0 g/mol) are dissolved in 500.0 mL of solution, what is the concentration of CH3OH in the solution?
astra-53 [7]

The concentration of CH3OH in the solution is 2.18M

HOW TO CALCULATE MOLARITY:

 • The molarity of a solution can be calculated by dividing the number of moles by its volume as follows:

 • Molarity {M} = no. of moles (mol) ÷ volume (L)

 • According to this question, 35.0 g of CH3OH (MM = 32.0 g/mol) are dissolved in 500.0 mL of solution. The number of moles of methanol is calculated as follows:

no. of moles = 35g ÷ 32g/mol

no. of moles = 1.09mol

 • Molarity = no. of moles ÷ volume

Volume = 500mL = 0.500L

Molarity = 1.09mol ÷ 0.500L

Molarity = 2.18M

Therefore, the concentration of CH3OH in the solution is 2.18M

Which of the following polymers provides protection in the plasma membrane?
Alexandra [31]
The plasma membrane or the cell membrane is the one that protects the cytoplasm of a cell. It is mostly composed of lipids and proteins. It has a phospholipid bilayer that controls the entering and exiting of molecules in the cell and at the same time, provides protection for the cell or plasma membrane. Proteins embedded within the phospholipid bilayer have the same function of the plasma membrane that includes selective transport. The phospholipid bilayer consists mainly of the lipid molecules. The answer is letter B.
