Answer:

3y/ 7

Where y =  the total number of athletes

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the total number of athletes  = y

Let the number of all  baseball athletes = b

Let the number of all  basketball athletes = k

Let the number of all  football athletes  = f

The ratio  b: k : f is given by:

15 : 12 : 8

Total proportion = 15 + 12 + 8

                           =   35

The ratio of all baseball player = 15/ 35

                                                    = 3/7

Number of baseball player =  3/7  of y

                                            = 3y/7

The means the three- seventh ( close to half) of the total athletes play baseball ball.

The circumference of a circular painting is 40.82 feet. What is the radius of the painting? Use 3.14 for pie and do not round yo
erica [24]

Answer:

The radius is equal to 6.5 feet.

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve this we need to know that circumference equals 2πr (where "r" is the radius). Therefore, we can make the following equation...

2πr = 40.82

πr = 20.41

3.14r = 20.41

r = 6.5

Now we know that the radius is equal to 6.5 feet.

Is it possible to solve a quadratic equation that is not factorable over the set of integers? Explain.
zvonat [6]

Answer:

Yes

Step-by-step explanation:

Yes it is possible to solve a quadratic equation that is not factorable over the set of integers.

The solution may vary like Integers, rationals, irrationals or complex solutions.

To find two roots of the equation we can always use the formula given below to solve a quadratic equation,

For the quadratic equation,

ax^2+bx+c=0, we have,

x= \frac{-b\pm \sqrt{b^2-4 ac}}{2a}

If the discriminant is greater than b^2, we get complex roots.
