Multiply both sides by two to get how many cents oranges cost per kilogram. If 50 cents = 1 kg of oranges, then 400 cents = 8 kg of oranges.

Here we shall use the unitary method.

We shall first find the cost of 1 kg oranges and then find the cost of 8 kg ornages.

The fraction 1/2 = 0.5

Also 100 cents = $1

So 25 cents = 25/100 = $0.25

The cost of 0.5kg oranges = $0.25

Hence the cost of 1 kg oranges = 2 ×0.5kg shall be

= 2 ×0.25

= $0.50

So the cost of 8 kg oranges

= 8 × 0.50

= $4.00

The cost of 8 kg oranges at 25 cents for half kg shall be $4.00

nataly862011 [7]
Given:
Week 1 : - 40
Week 2 : - 56
Week 3 : 105
Week 4 :   70
Week 5 : 140
Week 6 : ?

At the end of the 6th week, net profit is 252.

Profit = 105 + 70 + 140 = 315
Loss = 40 + 56 = 96
Net Profit = 315 - 96 = 219
252 - 219 = 33 Profit on Week 6.

Average profit : 252 / 6 = 42 per week

Rewrite the following equation in slope-intercept form. 17x + 15y = 5 Write your answer using integers, proper fractions, and im
omeli [17]
Answer:
y = \frac{-17}{15} x + \frac{1}{3}

Explanation:
The slope-intercept form of the equation has the following formula:
y = mx + c
where:
m is the slope
c is the y-intercept

The given is:
17x + 15y = 5

To put it in the slope-intercept formula, we should isolate the y as follows:
17x + 15y = 5
15y = -17x + 5
y = (-17/15) x + (5/15)
y = \frac{-17}{15} x + \frac{1}{3}
where:
m is the slope = -17/15
c is the y-intercept = 1/3

Hope this helps :)
