Greetings!

Answer:

a = 17

Step-by-step explanation:

Because all the lines are congruent (same length) as indicted by the lines, this means that every angle is the same.

180 ÷ 3 = 60

So every angle is 60°

This also means that:

4a - 8 = 60

Isolate the 4a by moving the -8 over to the other side, making it a +8:

4a = 60 + 8

4a = 68

Now simply divide both sides by 4 to get the value of 1a:

\frac{4a}{4} = \frac{68}{4}

a = 17

So a = 17

Hope this helps!

Use the distance formula to find the length of the segment between points (2,-3) and (5,-4)
storchak [24]

Answer:

Answer C: √10

Step-by-step explanation:

Construct a right triangle whose hypotenuse represents the distance between the given points. As we move from (2, -3) to (5, -4), x increases by 3 and y decreases by 1. Thus, the lengths of the legs of this right triangle are 1 and 3. Using the distance formula, we get d = √(1^2 + 3^2) = √10 (This matches Answer C).

It’s very easy since the other side is 50° it would be also 50° on that side so you -50° from 22 which is 28 and then you divide 28 by 7 and you get 4 which is your answer
