The correct answer is - C. The most geologically active region of North America is found along the West Coast.

The West Coast of North America is by far the geologically most active on the continent. It is part of the so called ''Ring of Fire''. Here we have the boundaries of the North American tectonic plate and the Pacific tectonic plate which causes lot of geological activity in the region. Earthquakes are a common occurrence in this part, a big rift valley stretches through California and it is getting bigger and bigger over time, and also the biggest volcano nowadays is found in this region, more specifically under the Yellowstone National Park in the northwestern part of the United States.

How has the physical geography of the United States
Usimov [2.4K]

The geography of the United States impacts the possible regions people settle in.

Areas that tend to be flat (or small amounts of small hills) tend to be the most population areas because it is easier to build houses, apartments, etc etc. However there is very few places people have settled where National Parks and Mountains are located because it is unstable and extremely difficult to make a house in that region.

How might isolation affect the way a country decelops economically?
Vadim26 [7]
If a country is isolated, it will have to produce everything that it needs: especially food clothes and medicine. It won't be able to specialize, but it will have to focus on satisfying the needs of the people.

If it is not isolated, it can specialize in the things that it can produce the best and fastest, and hope to exchange it for the things that it can't produce.
