The 3 bubble is the correct answer.

being that you're looking for 3.60 in quarters(25) and nickles (5) which add up to be 3.60 so 25q+5n=360

For 1 I would set it up like this:
360 = 5q + 5n

For 2 I would put cost per mile because it's multiplied by the number of miles.

For 3 I would say the customers purchased 5 kid tickets and 4 adult tickets

For 4 I would do this:
P = each can of paint
and
B = each bush

25P + 12.75B = 327

For 5 I would say that 2 represents the amount of waffle cones and 3 represents the amount of milkshakes.

As always, I hope this helps!

Two students taking a multiple choice exam with 20 questions and four choices for each question have the same incorrect answer o
MrRa [10]

Answer:

The Possible model is binomial distribution model.

Step-by-step explanation:

The argument that both students cheated in the exam can be proved by a hypothesis that both the students got the same answers incorrectly.

The same incorrect answers prove that both students have cheated on the test.

Therefore the sample of incorrect answers is, n = 8

Thus, the success probability, P = 0.25

Since the given condition has only two outcomes that are choosing the same answer or not choosing the same answer. Thus, this can be solved by the binomial distribution model.

So, binomial distribution with n = 8 and p = 0 .25.

Find x and y, given that line WS and line VT are parallel. Show all work!
bulgar [2K]

In the given diagram, the traingles USW and UTV are similar triangles and thus the following ratio equality applies to them.

\frac{VT}{WS} =\frac{VU}{WU}=\frac{TU}{SU}..........(Equation 1)

Checking the diagram given, we see that:

VT=y, WS=22, VU=8, ST=x-2

WU=WV+VU=12+8=20

TU=5

SU=ST+TU=(x-2)+5=x+3

Thus, substituting the required values in (Equation 1) we get:

\frac{y}{22}=\frac{8}{20}=\frac{5}{x+3}

Now, as can be clearly seen, to find y we will use the first two ratios as:

\frac{y}{22}=\frac{8}{20}

y=\frac{8\times 22}{20}=8.8

In a similar manner, to find the value of x we can use the last two ratios:

\frac{8}{20}=\frac{5}{x+3}

After cross multiplication we get:

5\times 20=8(x+3)

Which can be simplified as:

x+3=\frac{100}{8} =12.5

Thus, x=12.5-3=9.5

Therefore, the required answer is:

x=9.5 and y=8.8
