Median means you have to take the middle of the set of data

Step 1: Put the numbers in order from smallest to largest

12  15  15  15  17  17  18  20  21

Step 2: To find the exact middle each "level" take away the  1st and last number <<<Does that make sense?

12  15  15  15  17  17  18  20 21

     15  15  15  17  17  18  20

          15  15  17  17  18

                15 17  17

                      17

The median is 17

Hope this helped!

The students at Midtown Middle school sold flowers as a fundraiser in September and October. In October, they charged $1.50 for
lions [1.4K]

In the question it is given that,

The students at Midtown Middle school sold flowers as a fundraiser in September and October. In October, they charged $1.50 for each flower

And the October price was a 20% increase of the September price.

Let the price of the flower in October be $x

So we have

x+  \frac{20}{100}x = 1.50 \\ \frac{120x}{100} = 1.50 \\ x = \frac{1.50*100}{120} = 1.25

So the price of the flower in Septembet is $1.25 .

Please help me. I am having some trouble with these problems
s344n2d4d5 [400]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a proportion problem. I think you just lost a zero.

12/100 = 9/x                    Cross multiply

12x = 100*9                      Combine the right.

12x = 900                         Divide by 12

12x/12 = 900/12

x = 75 grams

So if you put 75 grams of tasty Oats in a bowl and covered it with milk the cereal would give you 9 grams of Protein.

2.

1 gram of Tasty Oats cereal contains 12/100 = 0.12 grams of protein.

1 gram of Cornbits contains 5/45 = 0.11 grams of protein.

By the narrowest of margins the Tasty Oats has more protein in it.
