Answer:

B = 20 b

3.5 Kg

Explanation:

Given

Body mass of rhinoceros = 3000 Kg

Blood mass of rhinoceros = 150

It is also given that blood mass is proportional to the body mass of the species.

Thus, if B represents the body mass and b represents the blood mass the relation between the two can be represented as

B ∝ b

On introducing a proportionality constant "k" , the relation becomes

B = kb

The value of proportionality constant "k"  can be determined by substituting the given values of B and b in above relation -

3000 = k * 150\\k = \frac{3000}{150} \\k = 20

Thus the relation becomes

B = 20 b

Part A

estimate the blood mass of a human with body mass 70 kilograms.

Substituting the given values , we get

70 = 20 * b\\b = 3.5

Can life subsist on anything else but water?
guapka [62]
In the purest sense, no you cannot live without water. Your body is made up of an estimated sixty percent water and it is vital for life functions. You can live for approximately three to four days without water. However, when you are asking if you can subsist on anything else, many things that you might choose do in fact contain water. Other drinks, even sodas have water content, as do many fruits and vegetables. It is possible to get enough hydration from sources other than pure water, but not to survive without it entirely.

First move the x from the right side to the left by subtracting. 3x-6+2x-x=-2. combine like terms. 4x-6=-2. add six to both sides. 4x=4. divide 4 on both sides. x=1. hope this helped!
