Answer;

Decreased birthrate

If immigration and emigration numbers remain equal , decreased birthrate could cause a slowed growth rate.

Explanation;

All populations change in size with time . Change in population is dependent of various factors, namely; birthrates, death rates, immigration and emigration.

Therefore; change in population size would be given by the difference of the sum of birth rates and immigration and the sum of death rates and emigration. That is; Change in Population Size = (Births + Immigration) - (Deaths + Emigration). A decreased birth rate with emigration and immigration remaining constant would cause a slowed growth rate.

A dip in the birthrate may slow down the growth rate, keeping immigration and emigration numbers equal. A constant death rate may also aid in slowing down the growth rate.

Further explanation:

Moving into a region is called as immigration and it is known to be a key facet in the growth of the populations. Emigration, on the other hand, refers to leave a demographic region. The populations gain people via births as well as immigration. They may lose people through emigration and deaths.

Population growth rate refers to how quick a population alters in size over a period of time. A growth rate if positive means that increase in number of individuals in a population whereas a negative growth rate shows that the population is decline. The 2 mina facets that affect the growth of the population are birth rate and death rate.

The population growth might be influenced by the individuals who are coming into the population or leaving the population

The formula for the population growth is:

Here,

r= population growth rate

b=birth rate

i=immigration rate

d=death rate

e=emigration rate

When immigration and emigration are equal, then a drop-in birth rate and constant death rate may cause the decline growth rate of the population.

Which of the following is a density-dependent factor that may limit population growth?
Damm [24]
Spread of disease is density dependent because it is more severe the greater the population density as the disease would spread more easily. If there is low population density it would spread slower.
