Answer is 11.5

Total weight of the shipment is 65, and 1 envelope weight 7.5 that’s means
65-7.5= 57.5

As we are looking for each box weight in pounds so you divided 57.5/5 =11.50

Hope this helps!

Initial weight= 65 lbs total

STEP 1
Subtract weight of envelope from total weight

65 - 7.5= 57.5 lbs for 5 boxes

STEP 2
Divide remaining weight equally into 5 parts (5 boxes of equal weight)

57.5 ÷ 5= 11.5 lbs per box

ANSWER: Each box weighs (B) 11.5 pounds.

Hope this helps! :)

Find the points where the line y = x - 1 intersects the circle x2 + y2 = 13
nata0808 [166]

Answer:

(-2,-3) and (3,2)

Step-by-step explanation:

sub in x-1 into y

x^2 + (x-1)^2 = 13

x^2 + (x-1)(x-1)=13

x^2 + x^2 -2x +1 = 13

2x^2 -2x-12=0

solve for x by factoring (quadratic formula, product sum etc..)

x= -2 and 3

plug in those values into y=x-1 and solve for y

He length of a rectangle is three times its width. The perimeter of the rectangle is at most 112 cm.
g100num [7]
The equation relating length to width
L = 3W
The inequality stating the boundaries of the perimeter
LW <= 112
When you plug in what L equals in the first equation into the second equation, you get
3W * W <= 112
evaluate
3W^2 <= 112
3W <= 4 \sqrt{7}
W <= \frac{4 \sqrt{7} }{3} cm

A factory makes 1200 shirts every 6 hours.the factory makes shirts for 9 hours a workday. what is the fewest number of workdays
Dominik [7]
1. Divide the target number of shirts, 12,600 by the company's rate of making the shirts. That is,
                                 number of hours = 12,600 shirts/ (1200 shirts/6 hours)
                                                               = 63 hours
2. Determine the number of workdays for them to complete the shirts by dividing 63 hours by 9 hours/workday. This will give us an answer of 7 workdays.
