Answer:

P=22cm

Step-by-step explanation:

L=8cm

b=(x–5)cm

A=(3x)cm²

we know that:

P=2(l+b)

and that

A=lb= 8(x–5)=8x–40

we have been given the value of A which is 3x, substituting into the equation for Area

=> 3x=8x–40

rearranging

=> x=8

therefore the breadth is (x–5)=(8–5)=3cm

=> P=2(8+3)=2(11)=22cm

hence, the perimeter of the rectangle is 22cm.

Answer:

GCF = 5

Step-by-step explanation:

15x² - 10x + 5

x is not contained in all 3 terms thus is not a factor

15 has factors 1, 3, 5, 15

- 10 has factors ± 1, ± 2, ± 5 , ± 10

5 has factors 1, 5

The common factors are 1, 5

Then GCF = 5

Answer:

Simon has 7 / 10 of the cakes left

Step-by-step explanation:

by giving 1 / 5 of the cakes away, he is giving 20 % of the cakes away (1/5 = 20%, regardless of the number)

(30 x 0.2 = 6)

and by giving away 10% of the cakes, he has now given away 30 % of the 30 cakes

(30 x 0.3 = 9)

So, he has 70 % of the cakes left

(30 x 0.7 = 21)

So, Simon has 7 / 10 of the cakes left

(70% = 7 / 10)

Cylinder A has a volume of 360 cm3. Cylinder B has a base and height identical to that of cylinder B, but leans to the right in
tino4ka555 [31]
The definition an oblique cylinder has the same volume as a right cylinder of the same base and height. So the Volume of Cylinder B doesn't depend on the "lean" and is the same as Cylinder 'A'; 360 cu.cm.
