jonny [76]3 years ago

Answer and Explanation:

Jaques is one of Duke Senior's attendants and he has received a well-deserved reputation for being "melancholy." We can say that Jaques loves being sad and depressed because he deliberately looks for experiences that made her depress.

And he gets depress over even minor things. He says that "I can suck / melancholy out of a song, as a weasel sucks eggs," In other words, if Jaques was a modern teenager, he'd be paddling around his bedroom on a Friday night and listening to depressing music on his iPod while on other hand, everyone else was pleasing out there. On a serious note, Jaques even rejected to take part in the wedding festivities at the end of the play. While everyone else is taking part and getting high on the dance floor, Jaques declared that he's just going to go back to Duke Senior's deserted cave. He doesn’t have much to get upset about but he chooses himself to be sad.
