hello :<span>
<span>an equation of the circle Center at the A(a,b) and ridus : r is :
(x-a)² +(y-b)² = r²
in this exercice : a = -7  and b = -1 (Center at: A(-7,-1) )
r = AP.... P(8,7)
r² = (AP)²
r² = (8+7)² +(7+1)² =225+64=289 ...... so : r = 17
an equation of the circle that satisfies the stated conditions.
Center at  </span></span>A(-7,-1), passing through P(8, 7) is :

(x+7)² +(y+1)² = 289

The point (-15,y ) <span>lies on this circle : (-15+7)² +(y+1)² = 289....(subsct : x= -15)
(y+1)² = 225
(y+1)² = 15²
y+1 = 15   or y+1 = -15
y = 14  or y = -16
you have two  points : (-15,14)  , (-15, -16)</span>

how to solve this prroblem by marianne buys 16 bags of potting soil that come in 5÷8_pound bags .how many pounds of potting soil
barxatty [35]
So, she buys 16 bags, each of them weights\frac{5}{8} pounds.

to find how many pounds of soil she bought, we have to multiply:

16*\frac{5}{8}=//16 is equal to 8*2, so we can simpify:
2*\frac{5}{1}

which is 2*5=10

so in the end she bought 10 pounds of soil!

Which are correct representations of the inequality –3(2x – 5) &lt; 5(2 – x)? Check all that apply.
Katyanochek1 [597]

The correct answer is –6x + 15 < 10 – 5x.

We can tell this by solving for x.

–3(2x – 5) < 5(2 – x) ----> Multiply to the parenthesis.

-6x + 15 < 10 - 5x ----> This is answer #3 and now we add 5x to both sides

-x + 15 < 10 ----> subtract 15 from both sides

-x < -5 ----> Divide by -1

x > 5 (Note that you have to change the direction of the sign when dividing by a -1. Therefore it does not match answer #1).
