Answer:

No, I differ room him. Because the addition of both is not 48 or the product of the initial operation.

Step-by-step explanation:

The reason why I differ from Harold is that the product of the procedure 5x4 is 40. While the product of 1x4 is 4. Because a number multiplied by 1 or the unit will always reflect the value of the multiplier. However, he was close because the product of 4x2 is 8 and if we add it to the product of 5x4 or 40 we will obtain 48 that is the result of the initial operation.

The measure of an angle is seventeen times the measure of a complementary angle. What is the measure of each angle?
marysya [2.9K]
First, write an equation system for the problem
For example, x represents the first angle and y represents the second angle
An equation for "t<span>he measure of an angle is seventeen times the measure of a complementary angle" is
</span>∴ <span>x = 17y
The sum of complementary angle is 90</span>°. It can be written as<span>
</span>∴ x + y = 90°
<span>
Second, use subtitution method to find the value of x and y
Subtitute x with 17y
x + y = 90</span>°
17y + y = 90°
18y = 90°
y = 90°/18
y = 5°

Subtitute y with 5°
x = 17y
x = 17(5)
x = 85°

The measure of each angle is 5° and 85°

25% of 60 to 40% of 30<br> &gt;, &lt; or =
Travka [436]

You can reduce the percentages to fractions:

25\% = \dfrac{25}{100} = \dfrac{1}{4}

40\% = \dfrac{40}{100} = \dfrac{2}{5}

So, we have

25\% \text{ of } 60 = \dfrac{1}{4}\cdot 60 = 15

40\% \text{ of } 30 = \dfrac{2}{5}\cdot 30 = 12
