When all citizens in a nation vote and participate in government it is referred to as a direct democracy. However, many nations have large populations and use and indirect form of democracy instead. This is because if all votes for all citizens where counted, it could take months at a time for even simple issues. In an indirect form of democracy citizens elect people who have similar belief and values as they do to vote for them.

Direct democracy is when the people vote directly on the laws or other issues that are proposed. Indirect democracy is when the people elect representatives who vote on laws on the behalf of the people. An example of direct democracy was in Ancient Athens where all citizens voted on laws equally. An example of indirect democracy is when we elect people to Congress to represent us.

Hope this helps! :D

Do you agree with his statement or do you believe America is successful for other reasons? State your opinion and use three exam
Elena-2011 [213]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

It seems that your question is missing the context or the reference.

It refers to a statement made by General Collin Powel, former Secretary of State. If that is the case, then the correct answer is the following.

Secretary of State Colin Powell expressed his belief that America’s success is based upon the nation’s diverse population. I totally agree with his statement.

Of course, America is successful for many reasons, but one of the most important truly is the diversity of its people.

My first example is that this great nation was built by immigrants, people that came from England founded the 13 first colonies in North America.

Secondly, as history teaches us, many European immigrants came to this country to find a better life through hard work and commitment: Italians, Irish, Jewish, and many more. Of course, there are the African people who were brought to America as part of the slave trade.

Finally, Asian and Latin American immigration have given their own identity to the United States because most of them have an open productive business or are working in the fabrics, industries, and farms of America. All of them brought with them their history, traditions, culture, and customs, forging the diverse United States that have contributed since their fronts, this great country.

Explain the role of social media in;
joja [24]

Social media is an instant reach to billions of people, when human rights violations occur they are not so easily squashed and contained and many people are able to find out about it. Sometimes sparking worldwide outrage. As an example look for a journalist who was killed in South America recently.

Because it is so instantaneous many people feel it violated their right to privacy and security and safety. Pictures of you can be shared with the world in second along with the fact that many social media websites have tracking applications that know where you go, who you are with and can even monitor the rest of the activity on your phone. This is why you may get ads for things you looked up.
