Answer:

(a) α = - 1000 rad/s²

Negative sign represents deceleration.

(b) θ = 3581 rotations

(c) L = 1800 m

(d) a = - 80 m/s²

Explanation:

(a)

using First equation of motion for angular motion:

ωf = ωi + αt

where,

ωf = Final Angular Speed = 2000 rad/s

ωi = Initial Angular Speed = 7000 rad/s

α = Angular Acceleration = ?

t = time = 5 s

Therefore,

2000 rad/s = 7000 rad/s + α(5s)

α = (2000 rad/s - 7000 rad/s)/5 s

<u>α = - 1000 rad/s²</u>

<u>Negative sign represents deceleration.</u>

(b)

Using second equation of motion:

θ = ωi t + (1/2)αt²

where,

θ = No. of Rotations = ?

Therefore,

θ = (7000 rad/s)(5 s) + (1/2)(- 1000 rad/s²)(5 s)²

θ = 35000 rad - 12500 rad

θ = (22500 rad)(1 rotation/2π rad)

<u>θ = 3581 rotations</u>

(c)

Length of String = L = (Circumference of Pulley)(θ)

L = [2π(0.08 m)][3581 rotations]

<u>L = 1800 m</u>

<u></u>

(d)

Tangential Acceleration = a = rα

a = (0.08 m)(-1000 rad/s²)

<u>a = - 80 m/s²</u>

The velocity of an object is equal to the distance divided by time. The equation is velocity = distance/time. If you wanted to c
Korolek [52]

Answer: C) divide: distance ÷ velocity

Explanation:

The velocity V equation is distance d divided by time t:

V=\frac{d}{t}

If we isolate t we will have:

t=\frac{d}{V}

Hence, the correct option is C: distance divided by velocity.

A soccer ball is kicked with an initial velocity 13 m/s at an angle of 35 degrees from the horizontal. What is the maximum heigh
Nana76 [90]

Answer:

The maximum height reached by the ball is 2.84 m

Explanation:

Given;

initial velocity of the soccer, u = 13 m/s

angle of projection, θ = 35°

The maximum height reached by the ball = ?

Apply the following kinematic equation, to determine the maximum height reached by the ball.

Maximum height (H) is given as;

H = \frac{U^2sin^2\theta}{2g} \\\\H = \frac{(13)^2(sin \ 35^0)^2}{2*9.8}\\\\H = 2.84 \ m

Therefore, the maximum height reached by the ball is 2.84 m

cindy exerts a force of 40 newtons and moves a chair 6 meters. her brother andy pushes a different chair for 6 meters while exer
Reika [66]
Work formula:
W = F * d
F 1 = 40 N, d 1 = 6 m;
F 2 = 30 N; d 2 = 6 m.
W ( Cindy ) = 40 * 6 = 240 Nm
W ( Andy ) = 30 * 6 = 180 Nm
The difference of their amounts if work:
240 Nm - 180  Nm = 60 Nm

During the operation of fan we know that it is working on the electricity

So here when we connect the fan with electricity it uses the electrical energy and convert that energy into mechanical energy of fan

Fan uses this electrical energy to rotate the blades of fan and then it gives the high speed air to us

So here correct answer must be

B.

motion energy
