Answer:

Boiling water and alcohol

Explanation:

Nowadays we know that we can never disinfect completely a syringe, so that is why we don't do it and we use a new one every time.

Although the best way to disinfect a syringe may be the following method:

  1. Disinfect the syringe using sterile cotton balls soaked in 70% alcohol. Rub all the surface of the syringe with the cotton until you feel that the alcohol covered everything. This will kill most bacteria but not everything.
  2. Sterilize the syringe using an autoclave machine. An autoclave machine is nothing but a special pressure pot that uses steam pressure and heat to kill most of the organisms, except spores and heat-resistant bacteria.
  3. Just to help more the probabilities of killing the most part of microorganisms, repeat the step number one. Use alcohol after taking out the syringe from the autoclave.
  4. Use the syringe right away or it will get infected again in a matter of seconds.

If having dimples is dominant (D) and not having dimples is recessive (d), which of the following correctly describes the phenot
xeze [42]

Explanation:

It would be hard to give you an exact answer since you did not give the table. However, I can help you out a bit here and you can just see what fits your problem.

Dimples (D) is dominant and not having dimples (d) is recessive. When we talk about phenotype, it means that you are talking about the physical expression of the genotype given.

We can have 3 possibilities in terms of Genotype.

DD       Dd        dd

If the offsprings have a genotype with at least one dominant allele, then the dominat trait will be expressed. If there are two recessive alleles, the recessive trait will be expressed.

So in your case,

Genotype          Phenotype

DD                      off-spring will have dimples

Dd                      off-spring will have dimples

dd                      off-spring will have NO dimples.

Mrs. And Mr. Smith both have widow’s peaks (dominant). Their first child also has a widow’s peak, but their second child doesn’t
zheka24 [161]

Answer:

Mr. Smith is not justified, Mrs. Smith can not be blamed necessarily for being unfaithful

Explanation:

Widow's peak is a dominant trait which means that it will be expressed both in homozygous and heterozygous condition. If "A" is the dominant allele and "a" is the recessive allele, the trait can be represented as AA or Aa.

Both Mr. Smith and Mrs. smith expressed the trait so they can either have AA or Aa genotype. If even one of them had AA genotype all the offspring would have the trait. But if both of them are heterozygous for it:

     A     a

A  AA  Aa

a  Aa   aa

There is 75 % probability of the child to have the trait (AA or Aa) but there is also 25% probability that the child does not express the trait (aa). Their second child belongs to this category and hence Mrs. Smith can not be blamed for being unfaithful.
