Answers & Explanation:

#1: (C) molecules

Conduction is a form of heat transmission where atoms(that are part of a metal molecule), when heated, become agitated and collide with other atoms, propagating heat from one to another.

Example: When we cook something and leave the spoon in contact with the hot pan, the spoon becomes hot too.

#2 (A) by convection

Thermal convection is one of the forms of heat propagation that occurs in liquids and gases.

It is called this because heat transmission occurs through circular convection currents that form due to the different density between fluids. The density changes when the temperature varies.

Example: When we heat a pan on the stove, this process creates convection currents where the water near the fire becomes less dense and rises, while the cold water becomes denser and falls

#3 (C) radiation

Thermal radiation occurs through the emission of electromagnetic waves, and therefore does not need a material (solid, liquid or gas) to happen.

In this type of process, part of the thermal energy of the bodies is converted into electromagnetic energy and also in the opposite way.

Example: Imagine a microwave oven, this appliance heats food without contact with it, and unlike the ordinary oven, it does not need to heat the air. While the food is heated there is a microwave emission that increases its thermal energy, increasing the temperature.

PLEASE HELP!!! THIS IS DUE IN A FEW HOURS!!! ALL 5 QUESTIONS!!!
Lilit [14]
This question is long and it is late here, but I can help you understand it. DNA consists of 4 nucleotide bases: Adenine (A), Thymine (T), Cytosine (C), and Guanine (G). When DNA is transferred to RNA, you use the complimentary nucleotide base to each as follows:
Adenine changes to Uracil (replaces Guanine in RNA)
Thymine changes to Adenine
Cytosine to Guanine and vice versa
So, the DNA code ‘TAC’ will have the mRNA complimentary strand of ‘AUG’. When changing mRNA to tRNA, you do as follows:
Change A to U
U to A
C to G
G to C
It’s that simple. Then, to change to amino acids, you need to use the codon chart attached (a codon is 3 nucleotide base pairs)
For example, mRNA codon AUG codes for the amino acid Methionine. Hope this helps.

Prokaryotic organisms have a single origin of replication, whereas eukaryotic organisms have many origins where replication occu
fenix001 [56]

Answer:

B) Prokaryotic DNA is much smaller than eukaryotic DNA.

Explanation:

In biology, one event is correlated with the other event or structure like observed in the DNA. The genetic material of a eukaryote and a prokaryote differ from the other in many ways:

1. The prokaryote possesses only one chromosome which is double-stranded and circular.

2. The eukaryotic organism exhibits more than one chromosome which is not circular.

Since the prokaryotes possess very less amount of DNA then the eukaryotes therefore during DNA replication, the DNA of prokaryote require only one origin of replication from where the replication will start.

Thus, Option-B is correct.

The fossil record is used to divide Earth's history into geologic time periods. The figure below shows the four major subdivisions of geologic time—eons, eras, periods, and epochs. Eons are the longest subdivision and are based on the abundance of certain fossils. Eons are divided into smaller time periods called eras
