in a expirement, lydia added 50 grams of sugar to 200 milliliters of water. She stirred the mixture, and the sugar eventually di

ssolved into the water and couldn’t be seen. The volume of the solution increased, but there was no noticeable change in color, odor, or temperature. Which statement best describes what happened in Lydia’s experiment?

The addition of sugar in water and disappearing of the solid in water is due to the high solubility of the solid that is sugar in water. As it is seen in the experiment there will be no change of the solution except increasing of the volume. But if one look the solution from its density state, then there will be a remarkable change. The fact can be described in terms of density only. The density of the normal water and sugar added water will be different.

The density of the sugar added water will be more than the normal water. The density of a liquid depends upon its mass and volume. The definition of density is the mass of a material per unit of its volume. Here due to addition of 50 grams of sugar the mass will be increase and also its volume as a result the density will also increase.

I am Lyosha [343]

Answer:

0.032 L or 32 mL

Explanation:

Use the dilution equation M1V1 = M2V2

M1 = 9.0 M

V1 = This is what we're looking for.

M2 = 0.145 M

V2 = 2 L

Solve for V1 --> V1 = M2V2/M1

V1 = (0.145 M)(2 L) / (9.0 M) = 0.032 L

A fishing line sinker contains 0.650 moles of lead. How many atoms of lead are in the sinker? Show all of your work, including s
34kurt

Answer:

3.91x10²³ atoms of lead

Explanation:

In chemistry, a mole of a substance is defined as 6.022x10²³ particles that could be atoms, molecules, ions, etc.

As you can see, in the problem, you have 0.650moles of lead in a fishing line sinker, the present atoms are:

0.650mol Pb \frac{6.022x10^{23}atoms}{1mol} = 3.91x10²³ atoms of lead
