Sound waves are mechanical waves, longitudinal waves, and do no transmit in a vacuum

Explanation:

Sound waves are periodic disturbance of a medium that generates that are produced when a rapid vibration of an object produces a similar periodic vibration in the particles of a medium. Therefore, sound waves are the periodic vibrations of the particles in the medium.

Sound waves are classified as longitudinal waves. Longitudinal waves are those in which the particles of the medium vibrate in a direction parallel to the direction of propagation of the wave: therefore, the particles vibrate back and forth along the direction of motion of the wave.

Sound waves are able to travel through different mediums: gases, liquids and solids. In particular, they travel faster in solids than liquids, and in liquids than gases, because the particles in solids and liquids are closer together, so the transmission of the wave is more efficient.

Sound waves are also classified as mechanical waves, which are waves that transmit through the vibrations of the particles in a medium. For this reason, sound waves cannot propagate if there is no medium: therefore, sound waves cannot propagate in a vacuum.

The hardest part of the job is to find the right formula to use, and write it down. You've already done that ! The rest is just turning the crank until an answer falls out.

You wrote. E = m g h.
Beautiful.
Now divide each side by (g h), and you'll have the formula for mass:

m = E / (g h).

You know all the numbers on the right side. Just pluggum in, do the arithmetic, and you'll have the mass.

Why is it important that home circuits are wired with parallel circuits?
Arlecino [84]

Answer:

Parallel circuits are used in homes because the loads can be operated independently of each other. That means that you can have an electrical item turned on and running without needing to have all of the other loads on and running as well.

In a certain region of space, the electric potential is V(x,y,z)=Axy-Bx^2+Cy , where A,B , and C are positive constants.a) Calcu
laiz [17]

Answer:

a)  Eₓ = - A y + 2B x , b)  Ey = -Ax –C , c) Ez = 0 , d) The correct answer is 3

Explanation:

The electric field and the electric power are related

                    E = - dV / ds

a) Let's find the electric field on the x axis

                  Eₓ = - dV / dx

                  dV / dx = A y - B 2x

                  Eₓ = - A y + 2B x

b) calculate the electric field on the y-axis

                Ey = - dV / dy

                dV / dy = A x + C

                Ey = -Ax –C

c) the electric field on the z axis

              dv / dz = 0

              Ez = 0

.d) at which point the electric field is zero

Since the electric field is a vector quantity all components must be zero

X axis

              0 = = - A y + 2B x

              y = 2B / A x

Axis y

             0 = -Ax –C

              .x = -C / A

We substitute this value in the previous equation

             .y = 2B / A (-C / A)

             .y = 2 B C / A2

The correct answer is 3
