Reinforcement is a term found in operant conditioning which refers to something that is used to increase the likelihood of a behavior reoccurring in the future or something which is used to strengthen the behavior. It can be in a form of giving rewards or increasing play time or fun activities.
Types of Reinforcement
There is a positive and negative reinforcement
Positive reinforcement refers to something that is added to increase the likelihood of the response happening again
Negative reinforcement involves taking something away that is hindering a repsonse so when this thing is taken away the behavior increases such as taking away an aversive stimulus .
