In order to find the area you have to multiply length x width
In this case our length and width are 12cm and 4cm
So lets multiply those. :P
12 x 4 = 48 cm

Your area = 48cm²

Good Luck! :)

A fair die is rolled 5 times. What is the probability that a 3 is obtained on at least one of the rolls? Round your answer to th
Lerok [7]

Answer:

0.200

Step-by-step explanation:

The probability of obtaining a 3, in one roll of a fair die is 1/6.

Now, we have 5 rolls.

We now want to know the probability of a 3 showing up in at least one of the rolls.

This simply mean, we add the probabilities of three showing one time plus probability of three showing in 2 of the rolls e.t.c

This means we can have 3 showing up to 5 times.

We add the probabilities as follows:

(1/6) + (1/6)^2 + (1/6)^3 + (1/6)^4 + (1/6)^5 = 0.199974 = 0.200

Consider the derivation of the quadratic formula below. What is the missing radicand
Vedmedyk [2.9K]

Answer:

\frac{b^2 - 4ac}{4a^2}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

See attachment for complete question

Required:

Complete step 6

At step 5, we have:

(x + \frac{b}{2a})^2 = \frac{b^2}{4a^2} - \frac{4ac}{4a^2}

Take LCM

(x + \frac{b}{2a})^2 = \frac{b^2 - 4ac}{4a^2}

Take square roots of both sides to get step 6

x + \frac{b}{2a} = \±\sqrt{\frac{b^2 - 4ac}{4a^2}}

Hence, the missing radicand is: \frac{b^2 - 4ac}{4a^2}
