Hey there! I'm happy to help!

To find the distance between two points, you find the difference between the x values, square that, find the difference between the y values, square that, add the two numbers you got, and then find the square root.

Find the difference between the x values.

-6-2=-8

Square it.

-8²=64

Find the difference between the y-values.

-5-0=-5

Square it.

-5²=25

We add the two numbers we got.

64+25=89

And we find the square root.

√89≈9.43

This method comes from the Pythagorean Theorem! If you draw a triangle that connects the two points, you can use the Pythagorean Theorem to find the distance, which is what we just did!

Have a wonderful day! :D

the easiest way is to make the fractions the same, with common denominators.

that means you have to multiply (1/4) by 2, to make it 2/8.

then you can see that she can make 3 total trips, not including driving back home.

Which of the following is equivalent to (Cd) to the fifth power
Rina8888 [55]

Answer:

The 3rd option is correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

This is because of an exponent rule that goes:

(xy)^z = x^z(y^z)

The whole thing gets raised to the power. Therefore only the 3rd one works (ps. if you can mark as brainliest that would be amazing, but if not that's fine)

Rewrite the expression with a perfect square: x^2 - 14x + 11
nikitadnepr [17]

   Factoring  x2-14x+11

The first term is,  x2  its coefficient is  1 .

The middle term is,  -14x  its coefficient is  -14 .

The last term, "the constant", is  +11

Step-1 : Multiply the coefficient of the first term by the constant   1 • 11 = 11

Step-2 : Find two factors of  11  whose sum equals the coefficient of the middle term, which is   -14 .

     -11   +   -1   =   -12     -1   +   -11   =   -12     1   +   11   =   12     11   +   1   =   12

Observation : No two such factors can be found

A carpenter has two lengths of wood; one is 108cm long and the other is 72cm long. He wants to cut them up to produce smaller pi
Y_Kistochka [10]

Answer:

36 centimeters.

Step-by-step explanation:

1. To solve this problem you must find the Greatest common factor.

2. List the prime factor of 108 and 72:

108:(2)(2)(3)(3)(3)=(2^{2})(3^{3})\\ 72:(2)(2)(2)(3)(3)=(2^{3})(3^{2})

3. Now, you must choose the common prime numbers with the lowest exponents and multiply them:

(2^{2})(3^{2})=(4)(9)=36
