Answer:

-2x+y+4<0

Step-by-step explanation:

y=mx+b

(m) slope is 2 (4/2)

(b) intercept is -4

y=2x-4

-2x+y+4=0

Plug in the origin for x and y (0,0)

4=0

since we do not want the side of the graph shaded to include the origin, the sign needs to be <

-2x+y+4<0

A thin sheet of ice is in the form of a circle. If the ice is melting in such a way that the area of the sheet is decreasing at
elena-14-01-66 [18.8K]

Answer:

dx/dt  =  0,04 m/sec

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of the circle is:

A(c) =π*x²      where   x is a radius of the circle

Applying differentiation in relation to time we get:

dA(c)/dt   =  π*2*x* dx/dt

In this equation we know:

dA(c)/dt  = 0,5 m²/sec

And are looking for dx/dt then

0,5  = 2*π*x*dx/dt    when the area of the sheet is 12 m²  (1)

When  A(c) = 12 m²      x = ??

A(c)  =  12  =  π*x²      ⇒    12  =  3.14* x²    ⇒  12/3.14  =  x²

x²  = 3,82     ⇒   x  = √3,82    ⇒  x = 1,954 m

Finally plugging ths value in equation (1)

0,5  = 6,28*1,954*dx/dt

dx/dt  =  0,5 /12.28

dx/dt  =  0,04 m/sec

Alex flips a fair coin four times. What is the probability that he flips heads four times in a row?
sdas [7]

1/16

the probability of flipping head on the first flip is 1/2

the probability of flipping head on the second flip is 1/2 of that, or 1/4

the probability of flipping head on the third flip is 1/2 of that, or 1/8

the probability of flipping head on the fourth flip is 1/2 of that, or 1/16

What is the interquartile range of 77 88 92 81 86 84 86 83 and how do you get it thx plz help
puteri [66]
To find the IQR you first need to write it in numerical order

77, 81, 83, 84, 86, 86, 88, 92

IQR is just Q3 - Q1

Q1 is the middle of the first have, since it has an even set of 4 numbers in the first half you need to take the average of the two middle ones.. which is 82

Q3 done the same process would be 87.

87 - 82 = 5

IQR = 5

Ava deposited $14 in a savings account that earns 2.7% simple interest. What would the graph look like?
katen-ka-za [31]

Deposited amount = $14.

Rate of interest =  2.7%

In decimals 2.7 could be written by dividing 2.7 by 100, we get

0.027.

Interest earned each year = 2.7% of $14 = 0.027*14 = $0.378.

We can make a table to balance by after each year.

First year balance: First year interest + Deposited amount = 0.378 +14 = $14.378.

Second year balance: Second year interest + Deposited amount = 2*0.378 +14 = 0.756+ 14 = $14.756.

Third year balance: Third year interest + Deposited amount = 3*0.378 +14 = 1.134+ 14 = $15.134.

We get four coordinates to graph A(0,14), B(1, 14.378) , C(2, 14.756) and D(3, 15.134).

Plotting those coordinates of the points A, B, C and D on the graph.
