The coordinates for point S¹ is C. (3, 2).

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1:

If a coordinate is reflected across an axis, the coordinate values remain constant but the symbols i.e. positive or negative varies according to the quadrant on to which they are reflected.

The current quadrilateral is in the second quadrant. If it reflected across the y-axis it will be reflected on to the first quadrant.

The first quadrant has a positive x and y coordinate value.

Step 2:

The coordinate of point S is (-3, 5) in the second quadrant.

If it is reflected onto the first quadrant, the coordinates become (3, 5).

If the point is translated down three units it means the y values become (y-3) while the x value remains the same.

So the coordinate for point S¹ = (3, 5-3) = (3, 2) which is option C.

The boundary for the first inequality: y> x+3 is the line y=x+3 and will be excluded (dashed) from the highlighted area because of the absence of equality sign.

The boundary for the second inequality: y <= 3x-3 is the line y=3x-3, and will show in solid because of the presence of the equal sign.

Please see the image attached showing your original graph with the first inequality in blue, the second in red. Note the y intercepts highlighted by a dot, and also verify the slopes: 1 and 3, respectively.

The solution to the system if inequalities is the area with both shadings overlapping.

Answer:

(x+c)(x-d)

Step-by-step explanation:

if x²-ax-b=(x-c)(x+d)

from vieta theorem

c + d =  -(-a)=a

cd = b

if x²+ax-b

from vieta theorem

c + d =  -(a)=-a

cd = b

so the same c d but in opposite  sign (x+c)(x-d)
