The correct answer is C. When the Europeans introduced small pox, measles, typhus, and other diseases to the New World.

The Natives did not have the same resistance to these diseases like the Europeans did, and it is said to have wiped out up to 90% of the Native population.

Answer:

C. When the Europeans introduced small pox, measles, typhus, and other diseases to the New World.

Explanation:

The introduction of new diseases was one of the most devastating consequences of the discovery of America and the subsequent colonization of native people. Europeans who travelled to America often carried pathogens that did not exist in this continent. Because of this, Americans had no immunity against them. Therefore, they died in very large numbers or got gravely sick. This weakened the people and their social structures, making it easier for the Europeans to conquer them.

The short happy life of francis macomber title meaning
a_sh-v [17]
The lack of a comma means that the happy part of his life was short. This is true, at the end, he is briefly happy. It is also ironic as the story is sad at the beginning, despite the reader reading the title thinking it will be happy. The title makes sense when he becomes happy at the end... Only to get shot and die. I hope this helped!

Share one character from a story and explain how they shaped or couldn't shape some part of their identity.
KATRIN_1 [288]

A character we can share is Jay Gatsby, who was able to partially shape his identity as a millionaire to the public eye, as further explained below.

Gatsby's identity

Jay Gatsby, from the novel "The Great Gatsby," was both able and unable to shape his identity. Originally extremely poor, Gatsby was able to make a lot of money through criminal activities. He also came up with a story about his past, but would not share it with everyone.

The general public knew Gatsby to be a millionaire, attended his parties, etc. So far, he was successful in shaping his identity. But the mystery surrounding his fortune and himself made people suspicious. And, even when he did share his fake story about his past, some things sounded too scripted to be true.

In the end, the truth about him surfaces and he loses the love of his life. For that reason, we can say Gatsby was both able and unable to shape his identity.
