-16.9x + 16 is the correct answer. You have to remove the parentheses, collect the like terms, and then simplify.

The given expression is (-9.6x+7)-(7.3x-9).

Remove the parentheses, collect the like terms, and then simplify.

(-9.6x+7)-(7.3x-9)=(-9.6x-7.3x)+(7+9)\\ (-9.6x+7)-(7.3x-9)=-16.9x+16.

So the final simplified form is -16.9x+16.

A stretched spring has a length of 12 inches when a weight of 2 lbs is attached to the spring. The same spring has a length of 1
Advocard [28]
The way I figured this one out was saying that if it takes 2lbs to stretch it to 12 inches and 5lbs to stretch to 18 inches that means that 3 additional pounds = 6 inches. Therefore, each additional pound is 2 inches. We know already that with 2 lbs it was 12 inches in length and we can also say that 2 lbs = 4 inches. So subtract 4 from 12 and you end up with the answer of 8 inches.

What is an example of a country with this economic system?
Viktor [21]

Answer:In a free market economy, the law of supply and demand, rather than a central government, regulates production and labor. Companies sell goods and services at the highest price consumers are willing to pay, while workers earn the highest wages companies are willing to pay for their services. A purely capitalist economy is a free market economy; the profit motive drives all commerce and forces businesses to operate as efficiently as possible to avoid losing market share to competitors.
